Ghulam (Hindi: ग़ुलाम, Urdu: غلام, translation: Slave) is a 1998 Indian Hindi action crime drama film directed by Vikram Bhatt and starring Aamir Khan. The film was inspired by Elia Kazan's On the Waterfront (1954). It is the second remake of On the Waterfront after Kabzaa starring Sanjay Dutt.^[1] Ghulam did very well at the box office and was declared as 'above average' launching the career of Rani Mukerji .^[2]
